Is it worth it?

Can you be a true friend without loosing ur self in the process ..can u sacrifice it all for the sake of friendship? Does been a true friend mean I have to loose my identity to project yours?...must it be all about what I want or what the other party wants...I have been accused of always  "looking for a friend" try being a friend too to someone,I was told...but is it worth it? Being a friend..?
